Mentor–Protégé Matching pairs students with experienced mentors who can help them explore career paths, grow their skills, and feel more connected to the HPC community. Matches are made based on research interests, career aspirations, and personal interests to ensure meaningful, supportive relationships.
Mentors who would like to give back to the community by providing guidance, and students seeking advice from seasoned professionals in the HPC community. Early sign-ups begin in late July 2026.

Mentors and protégés who sign up by August 13 can participate in additional virtual activities in the months leading up to the conference. We hope these expanded opportunities will contribute to deeper and more meaningful mentoring relationships. After the early deadline passes, sign-ups will remain open until November 1 for regular matching, which is still far enough ahead of the conference dates to provide mentors and protégés a chance to meet each other virtually and jointly plan their conference activities.
In order to participate, we suggest that you:
Be matched with mentors that can provide guidance on navigating SC and your career. We do our best to accommodate as many protégés as we can.
(Survey Available Spring 2026)
Anyone with a desire to give back to the community is eligible to be a mentor at SC. We also expect mentors to be able to provide career and educational advice to a protégé.
